Although volunteers were pitching in, BetterInvesting CEO Kamie Zaracki and Doug Gerlach, ICLUBcentral president, couldn’t always keep up with the flow of visitors to their booth at the recent World MoneyShow in Orlando.
“We were so busy, Doug and I, that even with our volunteers, there were some people that we didn’t get a chance to speak with,” she says. “It was very busy.”
The Jan. 30-Feb. 2 event at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center helped build awareness of BetterInvesting, Kamie adds. She also got a chance to meet some Florida investment clubs, such as the Delionaires of Davenport.
Volunteers joining in at the Jan. 30-Feb. 2 event were Julie Werner, a BetterInvesting board member; Ken Peters, Dick Vogel and Phil Crust, of the Space Coast Chapter of Central Florida; and Ann McNeill, of the Southeast Florida Chapter and a former board member.
Doug spoke on a panel discussion moderated by Mark Hulbert, of the Hulbert Financial Digest. Doug is the editor of the Investor Advisory Service, recently named for the fourth year in a row to the Hulbert Financial Digest‘s prestigious Investment Newsletter Honor Roll.
In addition, Kamie says she enjoyed meeting with representatives of both BetterInvesting’s corporate sponsors and companies that appear on BetterInvesting Magazine’s “Top 100 Companies Held by Our Members.”
BetterInvesting gave signs to each company to mark the relationship, which inspired plenty of positive feedback from conference-goers, Kamie says.
