For BINC Attendees, Orlando will, indeed, be the “Happiest Place on Earth.” You see, the hometown of Disney World will also be the site of the 67th Annual BetterInvesting National Convention from May 17 – 20, 2018 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Orlando by SeaWorld. It’s the perfect venue to bring your spouse and family and extend your stay after BINC is finished.
Meanwhile, you’ll be happy to attend the many investing classes, panelist sessions, workshops, exhibits, and special speakers. The keynote speaker will be Kelley Wright, managing editor of the newsletter, Investment Quality Trends.
Wright is the author of Dividends Still Don’t Lie, published in February 2010, by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. He’s also the presenter of the on-demand BetterInvesting webinar recording “Dividends Still Don’t Lie: Lessons Learned Over 50 Years.”
To hear Kelley Wright in person, take advantage of the current Fall Special for BINC, which ends Dec. 3, 2017. Nonmembers will save $110 on the registration fee, and your spouse can come for a reduced price, too. For more details, visit the convention home page.
Wright’s interest in stocks and investing was the result of his relationship with his grandfather, a small-business owner whose investment philosophy was formed by his experiences during the Great Depression.
With everyday life as a classroom, the younger Wright learned the building blocks of business and how to discern quality offered at good value. In college, he made a connection between the lessons of his youth and his coursework in business and economics.
Beginning in 1984, he worked for both wire houses and private boutiques in La Jolla, Calif., and later with Dean Witter Reynolds as a registered representative and registered principal.
In 1989, Wright transitioned from retail brokerage to fee only investment management, eventually serving as chief investment officer to three investment management firms.
He now serves as chief investment officer and portfolio manager at I Q Trends Private Client Asset Management, a registered investment advisory company.
Wright often speaks at trade shows and investment conferences, and is a frequent guest and contributor to radio, CNBC, and a participant in the MSN Money Strategy Lab. He’ll be at the upcoming 2018 MoneyShow event in Orlando, as will BetterInvesting’s CEO Kamie Zaracki and Doug Gerlach, president of ICLUBcentral.
Wright’s commentaries have been published by Barron’s, Bottom Line Personal, BusinessWeek, Forbes, The Economist, MarketWatch.com, and many other business and financial periodicals and websites.
