We are so in favor of peace, love and understanding, San Francisco-style. The MoneyShow San Francisco, running from Aug. 15-17, is our idea of a summer of love — love of investing, love of the stock market, and hey, unabashed love of cold cash.
And the event’s as free as the Pacific Ocean breeze ruffling your hair, Sunshine. Just register here.
Some of you may be too young to remember that San Francisco was once the epicenter of hippiedom, celebrated in the 1967 hit “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)” by Scott McKenzie. In August, the MoneyShow’s digs at the Marriott Marquis Hotel will be the equivalent of the Monterey Pop Festival for people who have 401(k)s and IRAs to manage.
This is an opportunity to sit at the feet of some real financial gurus — if the provided chairs aren’t to your choice. You’ll get hip to top-performing stocks and sectors, alternative investing solutions, high returns with nontraditional asset classes and risk reduction.
Speakers at the Money Love-In — we mean Show — will include Steve Forbes, publishing mogul and former presidential candidate, on “Politics and Washington Policy”; Jim Rogers, author and co-founder of the Quantum Fund, on “Global Markets and Currency”; and Roger McNamee, venture capitalist and investor, on the “Forecast for Tech Stocks.”
Dennis led the development of the BetterInvesting Mutual Fund Analysis Tools and related education programs and was heavy into the development and implementation of our Online Stock Selection Tools.
He’s currently the go-to guy for BetterInvesting’s educational programming and resources for the 50,000 BetterInvesting members. Dennis directs the training, educational and promotional activities given to BetterInvesting members by 800-plus volunteers in 70 U.S. chapters. He’s on the soapbox for BetterInvesting’s long-term, fundamental approach to stock and mutual fund investing.
We’ll tell you more about Doug in a later blog post about the MoneyShow San Francisco, but right now we have some beads to string. Peace to your portfolio.
