Roy Chastain, a retired attorney and a director of BetterInvesting’s Sacramento, Calif., Chapter, said on CNBC’s Closing Bell that’s he’s almost fully invested in the stock market these days. Almost. He’s got some cash in hand, too. Fifteen percent of his portfolio.
“I’m waiting for a downturn where I can buy more. Things are starting to come out pretty well, so I’m confident in the market,” Roy said during an April 30, 2015, Retail Investor Roundtable.
Stocks Roy likes are Apple (ticker: AAPL), semiconductor manufacturer Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) and Cerner Corporation (CERN), which does recordkeeping for hospitals and doctors.
“Years ago when it (Apple) was $17 I thought it was going to go bankrupt, but it fooled me so l’ll hold it forever,” he said.
Roy is also on the ICLUBcentral board of directors.
